In the elementary this year, we have started a new positive office referral system called "Cardinal PRIDE."

Teachers and staff members will be recognizing students who exhibit 1 or more of 22 different character traits from the Great Expectations program. When students receive a Cardinal PRIDE Referral, they will come to the office and make a phone call home to their family to share the good news! Then, their name will be added to our Cardinal Pride wall and displayed all year long. Each month at Rise and Shine, names of those with positive referrals will be drawn from a hopper, and one student from each grade level will be rewarded with "Pizza with the Principal." At the end of the year awards assembly, one name from the referrals all year will be drawn to win a grand prize!
We understand the importance of recognizing our students and encouraging positive actions and we can't wait to make many phone calls home in the coming weeks!
Today marked the first Cardinal PRIDE Referrals and they are pictured below! Also pictured is our Cardinal PRIDE poster that is displayed in all classrooms and a picture of the Cardinal PRIDE Certificates each recipient will be given.

Elementary Parents/Guardians:
We are excited for our first day of school! We welcome you to walk in and take your child/children to their classrooms tomorrow. Please utilize the parking available on Main Street on the east side of the school if you plan to do this. There is no parking on Oklahoma Street on the south side of the school. We can't wait to see our Cardinals tomorrow!

Attention Parents/Guardians of Pre-K and Kindergarten Students: Each Pre-K and Kindergarten student this year will need a pair of clean tennis shoes to use for PE; velcro closure shoes are preferred. Shoes need not be new, just clean, and will be left at school.

Cross country practices will start Monday August 7th. Highschool/ Middle school will have practice options at 6:15 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. Elementary will practice at 3:30 p.m.
