Medford FCCLA

Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, a student organization that promotes personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education, focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader. The Medford FCCLA chapter is a state and national award winning organization, earning the Oklahoma FCCLA Star Chapter Award which represents the best of the best among hundreds of Oklahoma FCCLA chapters. The award recognizes FCCLA chapters who have developed outstanding leadership skills through community service efforts, attendance at leadership conferences, participation in competitive events, and participation in State FCCLA programs. The Medford Chapter has had 32 students compete nationally in STAR events over the past 6 years. STAR Events are Competitive Events in which members are recognized for their proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation.

    In Medford FFA, students are introduced to a variety of skills such as welding, livestock production, public speaking, and a variety of leadership skills. Becoming involved in FFA is an excellent way to meet new people and discover new experiences in Medford High School as well as in our community and around the country. Agricultural Education class provides a solid foundation for students looking to be involved in the abundant agricultural community in Grant County and in Medford. Students learn skills applicable to their daily lives now and in the future.

    For over 15 years Medford High School has offered the unique option of art education to all high school grades 9-12. Students explore basic art media and techniques, such as painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpting and more. Students are also introduced to art history and appreciation as they explore the art and architecture from earlier periods like Baroque and Renaissance. The culmination of each student's work is showcased at the end of year Art Show held in May.

Natalynn Daniels is a very caring and hard working student who helps those in need and is always on task. She has a dog named Zaxton and a rainbow beta fish named Violet. her favorite subject is play time and nap time. Mrs. Loesch says Natalynn is a joy to have in the classroom.

Zella Thoms is Mrs. Conrady's Star Student of the Month. Zella has 3 dogs, she also has sheep, pigs, cattle, and chickens. She has one brother, Braxton, her parents are Derek and Erika Thoms. Mrs.Conrady says that she is very sweet, kind, and a friend to everyone.

Jentri is 5 with a husky named Nala and wants to be a nurse when she grows up. She is a very kind-hearted girl who always has a smile for everyone she meets. Jentri is a great role model for her classmates because she treats everyone like she wants to be treated.

Jadyn O'Neal is very encouraging and loves learning. When Jadyn grows up she wants to become a zookeeper which makes sense because she has a lot of pets. She has a kind heart and likes to celebrate her friend's progress before her own. Jadyn is Mrs. Nollenberger's Star Student of the Month.

Responsible, kind, and a hard worker, Ryder is a great example of a great student. When he grows up he wants to be a Pro baseball player and his favorite subject is reading. His family consists of mom, dad, Hunter, a dog named Rascal, a cat named Simba, and a rabbit named Lexi. WAY TO GO RYDER!

Callen is a little 8 year old with a very fun and outgoing personality, he wants to be a zoo keeper when he grows up. Callen has a dog named Molly and two older siblings, Price, and Brennan. Mrs. Guffy says, Callen shows a lot of leadership during class and sets great examples for his peers.

Titus's favorite subject in school is Lunch. In the future, he wishes to open a bakery in Medford to sell his mother's roll recipe. Titus is always willing to help others in his class. His teacher Miss Bishop is impressed by his humor and large amount of empathy.

case

Case is in 3rd grade and loves science. Case is a student who is always doing what he is told, he always works hard at the task he is assigned to. Mrs Edgar, Case's teacher, says she is very proud of him for working hard to get better in their classroom everyday.

Braxton

At 9 years old Braxton Smith wants to be a scientist. Mrs. Hoover, his teacher, said "He is a hard worker in the classroom and isn't afraid to ask questions or encourage others!" A family of Peyton, Lyndee, Derek, and Mandy. With a dog named Roxie, a turtle named Red, and a bunny named George.

Maddie Drees is 9 and dreams of being a veterinarian when she grows up. She loves reading and has 3 dogs, May, Bear & Willie, and a fish named Nemo. Mrs. Austin says that Maddie is a great student in class who is very polite and always does what is expected.

Brody Dyer is 11 years old and dreams of being a police officer when he graduates. Brody likes playing games, playing outside and watching TV. Brody is involved in football and basketball and his favorite subject is math.

Hayden Malchoff is 11 years old, her favorite subject is math, and she loves to read. She is in many organizations, as well as the 6th grade STUCO representative, and wants to be a teacher when she grows up. Her teachers say she is a very responsible girl who loves to learn.

madison

Madasin Hall is a sweet 7th grade girl who is a great friend. She is very kind to others and cares about her classmates, she even loves to tell everyone about her leopard geckos back home. Because of her love for animals and science she hopes to be a zoologist in the future.

Ethan Gonzales is involved in football, basketball, baseball, track & FCCLA as an 8th grader. Ethan loves to fish and play video games. According to Ethan's teachers he is an amazing young man to have in class, being attentive and completing his work carefully.
