Very tough competition at the Okeene HS track meet today. It was a very fast field of athletes with competitors from 3A and down. Proud of how the boys performed! There were a lot of new personal bests, and they improved as a group.
4x2 relay set a personal best with 1:36, placing 7th.
4x4 relay ran a personal best at 3:50.
Chase Abele threw a personal best 116 feet 9 inches in the discus, placing seventh.
Kien Willet ran a personal best 55.7 400m dash.
Teague Schuermann ran a personal best 56.7 400m dash.
Lyric Horn placed 5th in the hurdles with a time of 19.3 and a personal best. Lyric also set a personal best in the 300 hurdles at 48.
Destination: Summer Learning is quickly approaching! Our summer school program is open to students who receive a referral from their teacher and is based on academic need. Parent letters will be sent through the mail on Monday. We are looking forward to seeing our students this summer!

Congratulations to our FCCLA Members who have made the Top 3 in their State STAR Events! They will be on stage at the State Convention on April 11 where they will learn their placings. The first and second place winners in each event move on to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Seattle this summer.

Yesterday MHS took 18 students to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK to compete in the Southwestern Interscholastic Meet. Over 600 student from across the state were chosen to take subject specific tests ranging from computer sciences to English literature.
Top 3 results were posted this afternoon and the following MHS students will be awarded with a medal:

Congratulations to the JH baseball team! They got 2 wins in pool play today to advance to the semi-finals of the Timberlake JH Baseball Tournament. They play at 4:00, Saturday, March 30. Go Cardinals!
We wrapped up Oklahoma Youth Expo Thursday. We had heifers, ewes, doe
goats, barrows, and steers. The exhibitors did an amazing job!
