med v kremlin

Medford Lady Cardinals watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-0 loss to the Kremlin Lady Broncs on Monday night.  The Lady Broncs coming off a state tournament season in 2020 brought solid fielding, pitching, and hitting to Medford's home field season opener.

Medford Lady Cards lost despite out-hitting Lady Broncs four to three.  Lady Broncs fired up the offense in the first inning, hitting a line drive to score one run.  Only answered by a single in the first inning by Kaiden Spidell.

Spidell was in the circle for the Lady Cards, lasting four innings, allowing three hits and 13 runs while striking out five.  Senior Brooklyn Cink was solid as catcher throughout the night allowing only a handful of passed balls. Sophomore Gracey Keller (short stop) and freshmen Zoe Sterling (3rd base) and Jada Kilian (left field) accounted for 4 outs on caught fly balls to the left side of the field.

Although the Lady Cards were able to get the bats going late in the third inning, the Lady Broncs answered back with disciplined defense and a solid pitching performance by senior Trinity Anderson.

The Lady Cardinals play their next game at home on Thursday, August 19th versus the Lady Railroaders of Waynoka.
